She now serves as our Director of Financial Planning, mentoring and teaching our newer financial planners. After college, Zach served as an AmeriCorps volunteer for two years in Spokane before transitioning to a Portland area nonprofit helping connect volunteers to service agencies across the Pacific Northwest.
After a budding fascination with personal finance became an obsession, he started working with a financial planning firm in Portland before joining Johnson Bixby in 2020. Like so many people, Alexander learned to budget through fits and starts. He eventually succeeded in paying off debt and sticking to a spending plan, and then used his newfound skills to help those around him who were struggling. He felt a calling to the financial planning profession, so he left the graphic design field to become a Financial Counselor and coach, attaining the Accredited Financial Counselor® designation and opening his own private practice.

Kellan officially joined our team in June 2025 after working as an intern in the summer of 2024. During his internship, Kellen quickly became a trusted presence among fellow team members to help our clients take meaningful, manageable steps toward their financial goals.
Kellen certainly embraces our practice curiosity value. He’s already earned his Series 7 and 66 licenses and is actively working toward his CFP designation. No doubt this strong academic foundation started in college when he published a thesis on Behavioral Financial in partnership with a faculty member in the College for Business at Oregon State University.
Outside of work, Kellen stays on the move. He’s a proud member of a Hood to Coast Relay team, trains for marathons throughout the year, and embraces winter on the mountain with a snowboard when the snow falls. When the weather shifts, you’ll likely find him on the golf course—rain or shine.
