Your First Visit

How we work

At Johnson Bixby, we believe clients receive the most value from financial planning when they engage with us on a long-term basis. Your portfolio is just one part of the big picture. We help you make sense of the other important issues life throws at you to design and implement a comprehensive plan that will help to get you where you need to go, and make adjustments as circumstances change.

Let’s Get Started

During your initial visit, you and your planner will take a deep dive into your needs and goals. Your planner will give you expert advice and recommendations specific to you. We’ll discuss various financial principles, explore and evaluate options and help you with the logistics and details. Best of all, we won’t speak over your head—this is a partnership. You’ll leave that first appointment with information and clarity along with a homework assignment or two.

Financial Plans

You and your planner will work together to create customized plan unique to your situation. First, you’ll want to gather together some financial information to bring with you to your first appointment. The more information you bring with you, the more efficient we can be for you.

What to Expect Moving Forward

You and your planner will meet on a regular basis to update your information and status, track your progress toward your goals and make adjustments as your life situation changes. We will be compensated via a percentage of your assets under our management, a retainer or a combination of both, depending on your situation. Your planner will discuss the specifics with you.

Need More Information?

This is a big step, so we welcome you to come in for a 30-minute complimentary meeting, or phone call, to answer your questions about how we work and meet our team. From there, we’ll schedule your first planning appointment, to address your specific situation.
